I am a software engineer and systems consultant based in Belize. I have run Mark Logic Development, my consulting practice, since 2008, and since 2017 I have managed the Systems Development and Data Processing department at the Statistical Institute of Belize.
My work sits between software and data: applications for public institutions and businesses, the pipelines that move their data, and the Linux and network infrastructure underneath. I hold a master's in Information Systems and Applications with Data Mining from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, where I placed first in the Research Paper Competition, Master's and Doctoral Group, for a machine learning algorithm for spatially indexed records.
I work in English, Spanish and Mandarin.
