The problem

QuickBooks Desktop keeps a company's books locked on one Windows machine. The people who need that data, accountants, management and connected systems, are not at that machine, and re-keying figures into other tools is slow and error-prone.

What I built

QBridge is a bridge from QuickBooks Desktop to the web: a Python push agent runs beside QuickBooks, walks each company file in turn and pushes its deltas to an online API, with per-company state tracked locally so syncs are incremental and resumable. A Next.js web application serves the synced data to the accounting team, with multiple company files handled by a single warm QuickBooks session.

The result

QBridge runs in production for multiple companies' books, with desktop accounting data available online shortly after it is entered, and it is the foundation for connecting those books to further systems, including electronic invoicing.
